Locations and Events Locations and Events» Friday, 9 September 2016» Saturday, 10 September 2016 Production Site Visit FruFru Bvd. Dimitrie Pompei Nr. 9-9A, Sector 2, Bucharest national Bank of Romania 25 Lipscani Street, Bucharest 30031 Organic food, smoothies... frufru pioneered the healthy food segment in Romania ten years ago and has stayed authentic to its mission ever since: to bring fresh, natural, tastiest healthy food to the young professionals, young creatives and health conscious people in a tasty, joyful and convenient way. The company was set up in 2006 by Mihai Simiuc with the purpose to offer a viable alternative to the so-called junk food industry. Using its knowledge for better nutrition, frufru changed the way good food is produced and delivered, and is actively involved in educating the consumer. Over the years, it managed to transform a niche into a full blown market for healthy living. frufru has a varied and continuously enhancing portfolio of daily fresh and hand-made goodies. It self-distributes the goodies to over 100 locations in Bucharest, daily. Always searching for the best quality ingredients, frufru sources locally and organic whenever it can. And it innovates with every step it takes: the goodies, the experience, the partnerships, the communication, the involvement in the community. frufru makes it easy to eat healthy and be healthy, to do good and be good. Business Leaders Lunch Le Diplomate Ballroom, Athénée Palace Hilton, Episcopei 1-3, Sector 1, Bucharest 010292 The National Bank of Romania was established in 1880. It preserves a valuable architectural heritage, comprising two palaces where the bank has its headquarters the Old and New Palace. Conference Session Change Keynote Speeches and Panel Discussions The New Palace of the National Bank of Romania has been built between 1940 and 1955, in response to the enlargement and diversification of the bank s activity during the inter-war period. The building embodies the neo-classical style and bears rationalist influences that have prevailed in the inter-war period. Its rotunda in the central hall, decorated with geometrical elements, stands out. The ceiling of the same space is painted. The Mitita Constantinescu and Alexandru Ottulescu halls (the governors in office during the works on the New Palace) are used for conferences and other activities specific to central banks. The rest of the building comprises the offices of the management and of the employees of the National Bank of Romania. Old Palace For our Business Leaders Lunch The Business Leaders` Lunch is featuring renowned personalities from the worlds of business and politics and will provide the opportunity to connect with outstanding Romanian entrepreneures from innovative companies founded in Romania. We will get first hand information from Alex Lapusan, CEO of Zitec, a company specialized in efficient software solutions for challenging projects and and from Bitdefender, a global player in protective networks reaching out to more than 500 million users around the world. Welcome Dinner restaurant at the Lake Sector 1, Bucharest 010412 Gala Dinner The Old Palace has been built in the eclectic style of the late 19th century, with some neo-classical elements, between 1884 and 1890, according to blueprints of French architects Cassien Bernard and Albert Galleron. It is the first important bank building in Bucharest, the most imposing building of a financial institution, which can be compared with other great constructions of the time in European capitals. Key elements of the important historical heritage of the NBR include the Library, the Archives and the Museum, the latter focused on numismatic items. Marble Hall Gala Dinner Park Herastrau The Romanian cuisine has always been international. There is a flavour of Byzantium, Austria and Russia and of course the international cuisine of the European Community. All these have left their culinary traces. Let s explore this exciting mixture of influences together at Lake Herastrau. The lake is situated in a large Park. Initially, the area was full of marshes created by the river Colentina, but was drained between 1930 and 1935. Two beautiful lakes, the larger one being lake Herastrau, were built and have made the park very popular with the city s inhabitants. Especially in summer it is a green oasis with a spectacular garden. Outstanding room in the Old Palace is the Marble Hall which had initially been designed to be used for bank operations. Nowadays the Marble Hall hosts the numismatic exhibition of the Museum of the National Bank of Romania. 4 IAAG Annual Conference 2016 / Global INSEAD Day Weekend Bucharest Sept. 9 Sept. 11 5

Locations and Events hotels Revolution Square» Sunday, 11 September 2016 explore bucharest Sightseeing Tour To explore the city you have the choice of a guided tour at the National Museum of Art of Romania or a visit of the Parliament Palace. Both tours are combined with a sightseeing tour of some of the cities highlights by bus. The National Museum of Art in Romania is conveniently located across the street from our chosen hotels in the former Royal Palace in Revolution Square. It is featuring collections of medieval and modern art, as well as the international collection assembled by the Romanian royal family. Prince Carol of Hohenzollern, king to be of Romania, ordered the building of a throne hall and receptions room by French architect Paul Gottereau by extending the house of his predecessor, Alexandru Ioan Cuza. The Royal Palace has witnessed thorough rebuilding, renovations and all important historical changes in Romania in the 20th century. Quite a contrast is Parliament Palace, one of, if not the most impressive relic from the communist era. Build under Ceausescu by 28 year old architect Anca Petrescu the People s House is the second largest building of the world. After the big earthquake in 1977, 7 km 2 in the old city center were demolished, and 40,000 people were relocated from this area to build the palace and Uranus Hill was leveled. Between 20,000 and 100,000 workers, sometimes even working in three shifts were busy on the site. Thousands of people died at the People s House, some mention a figure of 3,000. In 1989 building costs were estimated at $1.75 billion. Since 1994 the building hosts the Chamber of Deputies and since 2004 the Senate as well as other official institutions. FAREWELL LUNCH Club Diplomat Sos. Bucuresti-Ploiesti 2B, Sector 1, Bucharest The Restaurant Diplomat is located on the grounds of the Club Diplomat, a well know club in Bucharest. This is where events of the diplomatic community in Bucharest take place. The club indulges in the importance of fair play and mutual respect between people, countries and cultures, even in conditions of tight competition. Designed by the French architect Théophile Bradeau, Athénée Palace has continued to spread the warmth of hospitality ever since its opening in 1914. Everyone from kings and presidents, Hollywood celebrities and World War figures have passed through its doors. The hotel has been renovated four times so far. The first time in 1937 by the Romanian architect Duiliu Marcu, then in 1965 when the new wing was built, in 1997 when it was reopened as Athénée Palace Hilton Bucharest and in 2010-2011 when the ground floor and the restaurants were refurbished. Now Athénée Palace Hilton offers 272 luxurious rooms: 147 guest rooms, 38 executive rooms, 45 junior suites and 20 suites. This historic landmark continues the legacy of luxury service and tradition as it entered into the limelight of another century.
