Tantalis GATOR GATOR (Government Access Tool for Online Retrieval) is an online search and retrieval system allowing access to the province s Crown Land Registry. Allows users to search Crown land parcel information and download survey plans and Crown grants GATOR is operated and maintained by the provincial government Public access is by way of a government-issued User ID and account Fees are charged either on a pay-as-you-go basis, or on an annual subscription 87

Ordering Records from the Surveyor General If the records you are looking for are not available through GATOR, then you can request them directly from the Surveyor General Division in one of two ways: Scan on Demand request through BC Online Phone or email a request to the Order Desk All SG orders are processed by our Records Distribution Services staff 107
Ordering Records from the Surveyor General If your request is straightforward (i.e. you need to request a particular field book, plan or Crown grant), it can be sent as a Scan on Demand request If your request is less obvious (you don t know which or how many records you will ultimately need), or if your request will involve research by SGD staff, you will need to submit your request to the Order Desk 108

Submissions to the Surveyor General Land Surveyors are now able to electronically submit all applications and Land Title Act plans over Crown land to the Surveyor General via the LTSA's Electronic Filing System (EFS) accessed on BC OnLine The Surveyor General Division now has a stable enhanced work manager tool to track applications and plan records 119

Block Outline Plan Processing Once the Block Outline Plan is submitted the package status will be Work in Progress If an amendment is required to the plan, the status will change to Defected and you will receive an email outlining the required changes 148
Submit Land Title Act Plan Alteration to Surveyor General The process to submit an amended Block Outline Plan to the Surveyor General is: Attach the amended plan to a new SPC Form Do NOT check Alteration - you will get a new control number Open the original submission form and uncheck Deduct LTSA fees Add a note under Explanatory Notes stating that this is a plan amendment Open the original submission package and add the corrected plan and the submission form to the package 149

Package Assembly and Submission to BC OnLine Use EFS to submit the documents in a package to the Land Title Office A package is a set of forms submitted at the same time through the Submit Package to the Land Title Office page (e.g., Form A, PTT form, Form B or Application to Deposit Plan, Surveyor Plan Certification, Form C) Forms in the same package are examined and/or defected as a group 160
BC Online Submission Practice Alert Surveyors should be aware that the following Practice Alert has been issued: Lawyers and notaries who receive by email a Survey Plan Certification, with the plan attached, MUST NOT open the certification and save it to a file. When opened and saved, the electronic signature may be invalidated. Users should rightclick on the attachment and save the certification to a file without opening it. Please consider including this information when corresponding with the legal professional that you are working with. Note: once the certification and plan have been saved to a file, it is now safe to open and review. 161
