Jon Davies :: Regional Manager, Pro Clima (NZ) Ltd Jon brings building science to his knowledge of education and building materials, providing a generalist approach toward improving housing performance and longevity. He writes and teaches on moisture and heat transport within construction. It is his view that a designer can meet E2 or E3 easily, but meeting them both at the same time requires some thinking to avoid rebuilding. Jon is a Regional Manager at Pro Clima (NZ) Ltd and holds a Bachelor of Education from Auckland University and a Diploma of Teaching from Auckland College of Education. His role in pro clima is to work with architects, designers and builders to ensure knowledge sharing and offer construction problem solving. Prior to working with pro clima he taught in a leaky school without realizing it, rebuilt leaky homes without understanding internal moisture and procured products for a building merchant without regard to material composition. When he is not opening the windows of his children s heated but unventilated classrooms he can be found riding in the Redwoods. Presentation :: Leaky Building 2.0: All You Need to Know :: What is Leaky Building 2.0? Gain an understanding of what causes it and how to prevent it from occurring in your construction. Jon will present practical steps you can take to control internal moisture build up and avoid this systemic failure that has occurred in so many countries around the world and is still happening in New Zealand today. Murray Durbin :: General, Manager, Knauf Insulation Murray is committed to delivering new insulation products and systems for the New Zealand market to improve the way we build and retrofit our houses, as well as making it a more competitive environment.
