Highlights of the last Fondazione Promozione Acciaio sustainability meeting Currently, there is not a uniformity on environmental declarations: there are too many of them (LEED, BREEAM, etc.) and they are rarely mandatory, and this can create confusion among operators. Until there is not a real money saving, companies will not invest in product sustainability EGGA (European General Galvanizers Association) is going to update its EPD, based on the new 2014 LCA, together with PCRs, to be submitted to the Swedish Environdec CEN TC 350 and 351 work groups are going to conclude their tasks. Regarding TC 350, it should be necessary to monitor the introduction of new indicators for LCA and EPD. Moreover, new test protocols could be inserted in TC 351. This has to be monitored too, because these tests could be inappropriate for steel constructions (risk of a boomerang effect)
