RY 2014-15 Bulletin Issue No.14 Chartered 13 August 1980 Bulletin Editors: Nidhi, Cze Hong, William & Geoffrey Special Events : Ron, T C Phua & Tengku Rotary International Calendar : October is Vocational Service Month Lunch Meeting on Tuesday, 7 October 2014 President Corina called the meeting to order at 1 pm. We met at a Committee Room in SCC as our usual Gilmour Room was not available. Although the room was small but the ambience was warm and inviting. Due to the size of the room, we did not invite any speaker. Nonetheless, the meeting was well attended with 17 Rotarians with four visitors including a Japanese lady Rotarian who came with her son Kengo-san and daughter Maiko-san. Maiko-san was rather amused as almost every Rotarian present at the meeting invited her to join our club. It was a very relaxing lunch with congenial fellowship amongst those present. President s Column Dear Friends, I was very happy to see our long lost Rotarians turning up to do their desk duties. Earlier on it was Billy Lee, then it was Dr Sorinder Singh, last week we saw Brian Tan turning up for duties and this week (14 Oct) Karen Tan came to welcome the guests and rushed off to continue her work. Well done friends! I am seriously thinking of making them do more desk duties. This way I get to see them more often.
