If you do not complete the courses before the June 30, 2015, deadline, your license will become inactive. Commercial only salespersons may apply for an exemption from the requirement at the Minnesota Department of Commerce. The Current Agency/ Fair Housing Requirement You are required to complete at least 1 hour of training on agency representation and disclosure plus 1 hour of training on fair housing issues once every 2-year licensing period. Your agency requirement was covered in the 2013-2014 mandatory module. Education Deadline is June 30, 2015 Officially, the deadline for completing your annual continuing education requirement and reporting hours to your broker is June 30. DON T FORGET. If your license expires June 30, 2015, your deadline for making a timely renewal is June 15, 2015. Broker s Course This course must be completed prior to applying for the broker s license. You ll get information to help you pass the exam and operate safely as a good broker. The Minnesota Department of Commerce issues licenses to real estate brokers in Minnesota. In order to obtain the license, applicants must meet minimum experience and education requirements and pass the Minnesota Combined General and State Examination.
