WHY LAND CONSOLIDATION IN KOSOVA? Cadastre is a legal right on immovable property, than Land Consolidation is a duty. What land is there? About 52 % is agriculture land, Average 5 parcels per owner Average area of parcel is 0.55ha or just 0.28ha agriculture land per parcel. Fragmentation of parcels is ongoing. About 50% of Kosova populations live in rural area Forestry Agriculture l. 48% 52% 3

WHAT CONDITIONS ARE NOW FOR LC? New conditions are that Channel of Ibri river long 142 km, Area under irrigation is 7 000 ha, can be more than 20 000 ha Channel of Radoniqi lake long 23 km, Area which is on irrigation 8814 ha are: in Rahoveci municipality 2969 ha, in Gjakova municipality 5053 ha, in Prizreni municipality 792 ha. 11

WHO IS INETRESTED FOR LC IN KOSOVO? KCA orthophotos, maps and other cadastral records, Ministry of Agriculture Law on agriculture land is in process. Drafted by Ministry of Agriculture. The law is prepared by local and international (France and England) experts. Farmers are willing to restart with LC. KCA and Ministry of Agriculture started with awareness 14
