THE COURSE START DATE, LOCATION AND SCHEDULE May 28 th START DATE AND TIME May 28 th The course starts on Saturday May 28 th, with an informal morning coffee from 10.00 11.00. We would appreciate to hear your views on the course theme and about your own professional background, any conservation design work, publications or other professional activities you are involved with in relation to conservation etc. ABOUT THE EQUIPMENT YOU NEED DURING THE COURSE You are kindly requested to bring a laptop and a camera, etc, if possible. There will also be limited number of pc:s available during the course. Internet connections will mainly be accessible at the course locations TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS COVERED BY THE COURSE FEE Your travel to and from Helsinki are at your own expense. The bus tour to Seinajoki and Jyvaskyla is included in the course fee. ACCOMODATION We hope that you have managed to arrange for your accommodation in Helsinki. For those who have booked rooms at the Grand Marina, we are going to leave an information package in advance. Please ask for any messages at the reception. ACCOMODATION AND LIVING EXPENSES DURING THE COURSE Expenses during the course are related to the fairly high general cost of living in Finland. Living costs during the course Living costs, approximately, including partly hotel breakfast, partly breakfast at separate cost c. 4,00 Euro; lunch at average standard lunch restaurant 8,50 Euro; dinner self-prepared or at very simple eatery 6,00-12,00 Euro; one tram/bus drive / day 2,00-4,00 Euro. ABOUT YOUR FREE TIME The second weekend, June 4th-5th, is free, as well as Saturday, June 11th and Sunday, June 19th.
