He was 86, and a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Vermilye. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frank Gilbert, at home; and two sons, Oscar, of Middletown, and Leon, of Union Hill, N. J. Mrs. Lewis Bell chief operator at the local telephone office, is a granddaughter. Funeral services were held at the Ostrander Mortuary Chapel yesterday afternoon, and were conducted by Rev. George R. Vermilyea was born in New York City on October 10, 1889 and died January 8, 1958.
