General Information The Siberian Academy of Geodesy (SSGA), located in Novosibirsk, Russia, provides its Master of Science Programme in Land Information System and Administration developed in close cooperation with Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK), Southern Federal University (SFU) within an international joint project 144978-TEMPUS-2008-SE-JPCR. SSGA has extensive experience in land information system and cadastral education and has established an excellent reputation with the respect to capacity building. The Land Information System and Administration provides unique multidisciplinary tools in the fields of land and civil law, land development, land information systems, cadastral technologies, mass and real estate valuation, geodesy, geomatics, cartography, urban land planning and development as well as negotiation and communication. In order to achieve this, graduates are expected to be able to identify and comprehend a variety of perspectives on how land can be viewed. An understanding of the importance and necessity of well developed institutions to ensure that land and natural resources are put to good effect is also a goal of the programme. Student Life at SSGA

The SSGA campus offers first-rate library resources and excellent study facilities, but also canteens, coffee shops, computer laboratories, sports facilities, a student union and a number of student associations. The SSGA campus for master students is located in the very centre the city. Many of the courses of the MS program at the SSGA may be given in English, or Russian. A part of SSGA s efforts in welcoming international students is the student union s well developed programme of social activities. Newcomers are easily integrated into daily life when attending the MS programme. Life in Novosibirsk More than 1.6 million people live in Novosibirsk metropolitan area, which despite this number still retains a small town atmosphere due to its many district centres. The Human Development Index ranks Novosibirsk third in the Russian Federation after Moscow and Sankt Petersburg. According to its lifestyle Novosibirsk is one of the liveable cities. The city is modern, technologically advanced and multicultural. City dwellers are well educated with one of the highest Internet access in the Siberian Region. Novosibirsk has a number of museums, and one of the most famous picture galleries. Russia is a pluralistic, multicultural, and tolerant society. Admissions

For the Land Information System and Administration MS programme, applicants are requested to have at least a Bachelor s degree in Cadastre, Information Systems, Geodesy, Cartography, or Management. They also must have at least: 10 ECTS in Mathematics or Economics; 10 ECTS in Information Technologies, Information Systems, or Computering. The course of the MS academic year programme is 54 000 rubles. MS students are accommodated in double rooms of the campus.
