1. INSURANCE The company is insured under a Professional Indemnity Insurance policy through Indemnity Corporation. The minimum cover is $5,000,000 with the appropriate extensions for malpractice, loss of documents, poor workmanship by employees and dishonesty by employees. CAPABILITY 4.1 People The company is owned and run by five principals, four of whom are Registered Cadastral Surveyors each with more than 20 years experience. The fifth principal is the company s financial director and overlooks the financial transactions and day to day running of the office. The principals and their relevant areas of expertise and experience are as follows: The principals are: Bruce Cameron, a Registered Cadastral Surveyor with a Degree in Surveying from the University of Queensland. Additionally, he is a Registered Mine Surveyor and endorsed as a Consulting Surveyors. Bruce has extensive practical experience in the mining industry. He has worked throughout Queensland and overseas in cadastral, mining and engineering works. Terry Prowd, a Registered Cadastral Surveyor with a Degree in Surveying from the University of Queensland and also with a Graduate Diploma in Management. He has worked throughout Queensland in land development, subdivisions and regional town planning and is an expert in GPS. His expertise is forming a team to develop land to ensure its economic efficient and environmental friendly use for the future. Allan Tannock, a Registered Cadastral Surveyor with a Degree in Surveying from the University of Queensland and a post graduate masters of Urban and Regional Planning. His expertise is in cadastral surveying and the legal aspects of land transfer and management. He also has formal qualifications in town planning. David Nevell, a Registered Cadastral Surveyor with a Degree in Surveying from the University of Queensland. David runs our second office located in Dalby and has significant experience in the resources sector. In addition to the principals, the company employs three additional surveyors, a town planner, two GIS and CAD operators and five technical support staff and a photogrammetrist. The company can mobilise up to seven field parties at any one time with all parties being led by either a cadastral surveyor or registered surveyor. 4.2 Specific Abilities CCS Surveys has the capabilities of total project management for any survey/mapping orientated projects as well as development, land management and geographic data base system projects. 5. METHODOLOGY 5.1 Organisation The company is owned and managed by professionals with extensive backgrounds and experience in surveying and mapping industry disciplines. The company is a medium sized dynamic organisation large enough to cater for our clients requirements without them loosing the personal contact with senior directors. As a result the company can provide a significant degree of flexibility in addressing client briefs. CCS Surveys was established in March 1984 with a change of name from E.C. Cottrell & Associates Pty Ltd to the present name in January 1988. The company s head office has been relocated to Technology Office Park at Eight Mile Plains to enable more efficient utilisation of resources as the company was previously located in two separate offices. This move has enabled to company to provide a more efficient a cost effect service to all of our clients. CCS Surveys is registered with the Surveyors Board of Queensland as a Cadastral Survey Company. 5.2 Economic Stability CCS Surveys has been operating successfully for over 20 years. The company has undertaken projects ranging from $1,000 to $600,000 successfully in its own right and been involved in projects with budgets in excess of $200 million. 5.3 Quality Assurance The company is committed to a Quality Assurance Program for monitoring the services provided to clients, including management control and direction. To this end we have produced a comprehensive document entitled Safety Sustainability System which addresses all aspects of safety. CCS Surveys has a Safety Health and Environment Management system which operates within the framework of AS/NZS 4804.2011 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems) and ISO 14001.2004 (Environment Management Systems). All work done on any project undertaken for Queensland Rail will be conducted in accordance with the scope and intent of that management system. All employees are given a copy of the manual and a safety induction on commencement with the company and safety audits are regularly undertaken of work practices. In addition this manual covers procedures that must be followed in relation to the environment. 6.5 TIME PERFORMANCE CCS Surveys has a proven track record in relation to completing large and small scale projects within strict time frames. Our management processes put in place at the commencement of each project allow for various milestone checks to ensure that the project is progressing to schedule.
