Modern architecture requires flexible building solutions with energy efficient facade systems and filigree structures. In addition to providing the mere function, buildings have to comply with aesthetical standards. Improved methods of calculation in combination with digital production sequences enable the development and realization of forms which are a contrast to the usual linear and rectangular design approach. Renowned international architects and engineers present current projects and innovative solutions for fascinating architecture with free shaping. Modern building materials such as high-strength steel profiles as well as energy and cost efficient facade elements made of thin-walled steel sheet help to build economically and to bring about complex geometries. Moreover, high-quality corrosion protection makes steel buildings not only economically advantageous but also sustainable. Hot-dip galvanized steel constructions for example are maintenance-free for many decades. Furthermore, the building elements can be dismounted after use and are recyclable at 100 per cent. Admission at 8:00 a.m. The participation fee is 48 Euro (24 Euro for students). Cancellation and refund of the fee are permitted until 16 December 2013. Replacement is possible. Registations can be made at www.stahl-info.de (Veranstaltungen) and will be confirmed by mail, the invoices will be included. Upon receipt of payment the participants will obtain the final confirmation. These will be sent out according to the order of payment receipt. All lectures with simultaneous translation (German/English) Certificates of attendance will be issued after the congress. Some Chambers of Architects and Chambers of Civil Engineers acknowledge education credit points for their members. After the congress, free entrance tickets for the trade fair DEUBAUKOM 2014 will be distributed. Access by car via A52 or B224 (traffic density to be taken into account).
