Camp Forbing Marketplace will be NewQuest s first development in Louisiana. This development brings vibrant retail and restaurants to a previously unserved, high-end community, as well as a proposed two-story office building. This mixed-use project will be anchored by a 23,000 SF Kroger Marketplace and a new, state-of-the-art YMCA facility. Located on the northwest corner of East Flournoy Lucas at Ellerbe Road in Shreveport, the center will be situated on a portion of Camp Forbing a 47-acre camp the YMCA has operated since 945. It will also include a fuel center and signalized access at the main entrance for convenient access. The design of Camp Forbing Marketplace offers a unique planned development incorporating key elements of a community center with a water amenity, interconnected lighted pedestrian walkways and outdoor seating areas surrounded by natural landscaping to name a few. The design also serves as the first commercial Planned Unit Development in the city of Shreveport and is the result of a collaboration with Shreveport city officials and community leaders.
