Jim Valvano Printers For McClellan By Cleatus (Cherokee Lee) Murdaugh ~ 4779 While I m writing all these poems it has took a lot of ink and the prices were quite high so I ve began to think. It was cheaper to buy the printers and to give them away so that s what I have been doing I delivered them today. Then I asked myself the question who can I give them too I remembered McClellan School that I had went through. I thought maybe they can use em where I learned to write back in the years of 1945 & 1946 when things were tight. I had twelve of these new printers I took six out to the car and took them over to McClellan which was not too far. Sandy went over there with me helped me carry them in & when the Principal saw them he s wearing a big grin. He thanked us for bringing them in & set them by the door the following day went back again we took him eight more. In December of 2015, the Secretary of State's office temporarily suspended requiring the tests because IEPA had stopped sending out notices to motorists due to the state budget impasse. Previously, the only way a vehicle owner would know that their car was due for an emissions test was if they received the notice by mail. IEPA resumed sending out notices on April 6 so beginning June 1st, 2016 motorists who need emissions tests will be required to complete emissions testing before renewing their license plates. As a result, the Secretary of State's office will resume standard procedures that require completion of the IEPA test prior to registration renewal. Vehicle emission testing applies to all vehicles registered in Cook, Du Page and Lake Counties, as well as most of Kane, Kendall, McHenry and Will Counties and in Madison, Monroe and St. Clair Counties in the Metro East area. Motorists can call 800-635-2380 or go to the Vehicle Eligibility Check Tool at http://www.epa.illinois. gov/topics/airquality/mobile-sources/vehicle-emissions-testing/index. To check, they will need to provide their license plate or VIN number. ***** Consinder for a moment that when you see someone as being gifted it is out of a belief that whatever it is that they do, would be impossible for you to do. This local grant award is part of over $7.1 million in grants awarded to more than 900 schools, nonprofits and organizations across the 43 states that Dollar General serves. We are grateful for the support from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, said Alison Altmeyer, Executive Director of Aquinas Literacy Center. This grant award affirms the importance of our mission in the McKinley Park community, especially as we celebrate our 20th anniversary. Aquinas Literacy Center has served the immigrant community for 20 years by offering free individualized instruction in the English Language. Using trained, volunteer tutors, Aquinas serves over 200 learners annually. In addition to Aquinas main program of one-on-one tutoring, learners participate in weekly conversation groups, writing workshops, book clubs, computer-based instruction and computer literacy workshops. Consistent with our mission of Serving Others, we are excited to provide these organizations with funding to further literacy and education across the communities we call home, said Todd Vasos, Dollar General s CEO. It is always so exciting to see the true and meaningful impact the Dollar General Literacy Foundation has on both children and adults looking to improve their lives through literacy. Woof! Woof!
