Friday 3:30 Mark Hansen http://www.northhouse.org/courses/courses/instructor. cfm?iid=43 I became a passionate builder around the age of 8 with the construction of an 8 flat-bottomed punt, and have been building ever since. In over 50 years of making boats, homes, tools and items necessary for living, my interest in design and construction has remained. I have studied boat building in Greenland, Norway, and Northern Minnesota. I ve designed and built 12 different homes of traditional influence and lived in them for periods of time. Since 1996, I have developed and taught 25 different courses at North House Folk School. Presently I m involved in two projects: a live-aboard catamaran of Polynesian and Chinese influence; and a 100 square-foot Greenland hut that can be easily disassembled and moved.
