Our Time Here When I first viewed Stonerock Hall there were several features that struck me. As soon as you come into the house you are drawn to the kitchen, it s a huge area and a real social space with everything you would expect in a modern home. The back garden is an amazing size and is not overlooked, offering privacy. I also love that we are close to everything we need; within 15 minutes you can be in Canterbury city centre, but you get a feeling of seclusion with a quiet lifestyle. Being the first owner of the house, it still feels like a new property but it has a lot of character with its style and thatched roof. The finish is to a very high standard and maintaining it is easy. You can open the house up when you want as there is plenty of access to the garden adding to the flow and adaptability when hosting family and friends. We often have people coming to stay with us and having three floors makes that even easier. The top floor offers a lot of privacy, almost as if you don t realise people are there it has great flexibility for whatever suits your situation. Travel links around the local area, whether you are driving or using public transport, are ideal and there are shops within walking distance for picking up all the essentials. Canterbury as a city provides so much whether that is from a social point of view, education, working or commuting. We are well located for heading out to the coastal towns too, with fantastic beaches just a short drive or bike ride away. We have the choice of city, country and coastal lifestyles, which is brilliant throughout the year as the seasons change. There are so many things that we will miss when we leave here; the calm atmosphere, fresh air and nature so you feel like you can be secluded in your own world. Our neighbours are lovely; nobody is invasive but they are always happy to help or to look out for your home if you re on holiday and we ve made some great friends while living here.
