GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 145 THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS ACT (No. 2 of 2012) ESTABLISHMENT OF THE RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF THE INTER-GOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS TECHNICAL COMMITTEE IT IS notified for the general public that the Cabinet Secretary for Devolution and Planning has established a Recruitment Committee to be known as the Recruitment Committee of the Inter-Governmental Relations Technical Committee. The Inter-governmental Relations Technical Committee, is established by section 11 of the Inter-Governmental Relations Act, 2012. 1. The terms of Reference of the Committee are to: (a) Develop the Terms of Reference for the Specific Offices established in the Inter-Governmental Relations Technical Committee. (b) Develop the criteria for recruitment of the specific positions. (c) Oversee the advertisement for the positions of the Inter- Governmental Relations Technical Committee. (d) Receive, evaluate, and generate a short-list of the applications (e) Interview the shortlisted candidates. (f) Undertake a due diligence on the selected candidates. Meetings The committee shall (a) hold such number of meetings in such places and at such times as the Committee may consider necessary for the proper discharge of its functions; and (b) regulate its own procedures. 5. Terms of office The Committee shall remain in office for a period of 90 days from the day of their appointment or for such a period as the Cabinet Secretary may deem necessary.
