seller insight I was attracted to Sunwillow Farm for years before we bought it, I always wondered what was at the end of the beautiful tree-lined driveway, so it was a dream come true to move here. The location in particular is perfect, it s beautiful here and I ve loved the walks and hacking trails on the Ridgeway. We extended and updated the house to create a feeling of openness and light, and installed a smart home system so the house would be secure, accessible to friends and staff and easy to control. It s now the perfect home for family and entertaining, and it s been incredible for our equestrian activities. The kitchen and sun room is without doubt our favourite area, the doors are constantly open in the summer months which really blends the inside of the house with the land. We can host 30 people here easily, the kids keep themselves busy in the music room or pool house while the adults gravitate towards the kitchen and sun room. And it s so secluded and private here we are in our own world. As our daughter s interest in eventing grew we developed the equestrian facilities to the extent we were able to host events here for our 5 horses, and visitors. It was especially important to have safe hacking trails for our daughter to ride, and this whole area is cross-crossed with great trails between the surrounding villages. From a practical perspective, the location has been amazing for work and travel. This is a crossing point between the north, south, east and west so it s easy to reach anywhere by road. The airports in Birmingham, Heathrow, Bristol and Southampton are all accessible from here too. It s also close to really good schools, particularly in Oxford. Childrey is a thriving community, there are all sorts of groups and events, including an annual fete and fireworks. When you re at the back of the house it feels like you re in the middle of nowhere, but the village is only 2 minutes down the lane so we ve had the best of both worlds here really. *These comments are the personal views of the current owner and are included as an insight into life at the property. While the property overlooks open fields and farmland, the village centre is just a few minutes walk away. Two miles away is the historic market town of Wantage.
