Town planning details According to the letter from the Mons City Council dated 15 December 2015 : the property is located in a residential area in the Mons-Borinage area sector plan of 9 November 1983 ; the property is located in an urban residential area of the inner suburbs (zone B of the inner ring + the Parc Naturel des Vallées) according to the Council Planning Regulation of 16 Octobre 2000 ; the building is located in a protected area on the plots of land surrounding the old Water Machine (Machine à Eau, now a museum of the City of Mons located on the other side of the lake) as referred to in Art. 209 of the Walloon Code of Urban Planning (CWATUPE). The following planning permission has been granted for the property : Permit with file number AB5543 of 30 July 1987 for the construction of the building and development of the area around it ; Permit with file number T/3085 of 24 May 1989 for water supply connection to the river Trouille water diversion sluiceway via three opening points ; Permit with file number AB26287AD of 8 November 2013 for the conversion of the branch building with a view to splitting it and letting or freeing up part of the premises for use by a private operator ; the work was not carried out in the end.
