LAND Fearna is the perfect rural retreat. The land is wild and rugged and with uninterrupted views it is the ideal place to escape the confines of modernity and enjoy the breath-taking solitude this estate offers. Climb the rocky outcrops, explore the undulating moorland and fish the private hill lochs. WOODLAND There are a few small pockets of woodland across the estate most notably 30 acres of newly planted trees which have been deer fenced. In addition to this the current owners have proposed a native species woodland planting scheme to enhance the sporting opportunities on the estate whilst also being a long-term investment. Further details on the proposed planting scheme can be obtained from the selling agents.
SPORTINGS STALKING Fearna is compact but due to relatively low altitude and pockets of good quality grazing it has a small herd of resident hinds. The estate has typically been lightly stalked but hind numbers have increased and accordingly the estate can offer stalking for up to 2-3 Red deer stags a year. The land can be accessed by a 6 wheel ATV vehicle or more traditionally on foot. FISHING There is enjoyable wild brown trout fishing on any of the many hill lochs with some modest spate salmon fishing on a tributary of the Inver. SHOOTING There is some walked up rough shooting for woodcock and snipe and the possibility of a grouse. With little effort or expenditure the lochs could be used as duck flighting ponds.
