Lunch and Learn HOME hosted a free Lunch and Learn for housing providers. Dotty Hall, Senior Housing Counselor, coordinated the event and used the opportunity to tell attendees about HOME s Mobility Program and the benefits it offers landlords. HOME staff also presented information about hoarding disorders and recent guidance released by HUD regarding renting to people with criminal records. LaTonya Springs, Client Services Specialist, talked about how to help tenants with hoarding disorders. One of LaTonya s former clients shared her story of how her housing was affected by hoarding. The client called HOME after being served a notice to leave. The landlord agreed to give LaTonya and her client 90 days to de-clutter and clean the apartment unit. It only took about 30 days for LaTonya to bring the unit up to code. In the end, the client and landlord agreed to a mutual termination. The client was happy to leave the lease without penalty and was able to find housing elsewhere. *203 HOME cases were referred to Housing Mediation Services *578 improved landlord-tenant and tenant-tenant relations LaTonya Springs speaks to Lunch and Learn attendees 2015 FINANCIAL AUDIT Income Government Grants $743,300.00 $730,834.00 United Way $84,428.00 $85,939.00 Other Grants $27,500.00 $25,000.00 Programming & Special Events $59,634.00 $14,674.00 Contributions $15,059.00 $13,365.00 Total $929,921.00 $869,812.00 Expenses Program Services $889,170.00 $854,517.00 Management & General $22,854.00 $11,509.00 Fundraising $4,594.00 $3,204.00 Total $916,618.00 $869,230.00 Expense Breakdown Program Services $ 889,170.00 $854,517.00 Management and General $22,854.00 $11,509.00 Fundraising $4,594.00 $3,204.00 Total $916,618.00 $869,230.00 2015 2014 6% 4% 3% 6% 5% 2% 1% 73% Salaries, Benefits, Taxes Contract and Professional Fees Office Rent Equipment, Supplies, Maintenance Travel, Conferences, Meetings Advertising Dues, Aid to Agencies & Individuals Bank Fees, Insurance, Depreciation 3% 6% 3% 2% 1% 4% 2% 80% Salaries, Benefits, Taxes Contract and Professional Fees Office Rent Equipment, Supplies, Maintenance Travel, Conferences, Meetings Advertising Dues, Aid to Agencies & Individuals Bank Fees, Insurance, Depreciation

The case was settled in October 2016, allowing the horse to stay on the property full time.
