Where the work involves an extension or new build please also indicate the approximate positions or proposed connections to sewers or other drainage outfall Acceptance Form Please sign and return electronically. We are happy to provide pre-submission advice free of charge. Important Information You are advised that the Local Authorities have five working days to accept our Initial Notice, including the day on which the Initial Notice is received by them. Therefore, to avoid the Local Authority rejecting the Initial Notice, please ensure that controlled work does not start until the Initial Notice is Accepted, and that we have sufficient information as early as possible, in advance of work starting on site. ACCEPTANCE FORM The Approved Inspector in relation to the work is: STMC (Building Control) Ltd. 1 Adbaston Road, Trafford Park, Manchester, M32 0TP Tel: 0161 877 8660 The Approved Inspector listed above hereby agrees to provide the necessary services relating to Building Control for the above project and to provide all necessary documentation and notices to Local Authorities in accordance with The Building (Approved Inspectors etc.) Regulations 2010 (as amended). The Client hereby agrees to commission STMC for the above work and receive, where appropriate, a plans certificate, and a final certificate. We will invoice for our services in two stages; 30% following plan appraisal and relevant consultations and 70% on commencement of work, although invoices may, by agreement, be in more stages on larger projects. All invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date. Where a project is abandoned prior to commencement of work on site we reserve the right to issue an invoice for 30% of the total fee, to cover administrative work, plan appraisal and consultations with statutory bodies. Where the project is abandoned following commencement of work we reserve the right to issue an invoice to cover the plan appraisal, including the relevant consultations, and the proportion of the inspection service that has been undertaken. If the project has not commenced within three years of submission of our Initial Notice it will be necessary to submit to STMC a new application, accompanied by the appropriate fee. Where the work which is subject of the Initial Notice is not completed by the indicated Anticipated Completion Date STMC reserves the right to charge an additional fee. This form of acceptance shall infer that the Approved Inspector has no financial or professional interest in the work described other than for Building Control work for which they will receive remuneration as listed below. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Contractual Agreement, the liability of STMC (Building Control) Ltd under or in connection with this Contractual Agreement, (whether in contract or in tort [delict],) in negligence, for breach of the statutory duty or otherwise (other than in respect of personal injury or death) shall not exceed in aggregate the sum of ten times the total of the fees payable to STMC (Building Control) Ltd by the Client for the individual project in question.
