Titles: J. F. Thomas returned to his law practice in Tenterfield (New South Wales), though he lived as a semi-recluse. He died in 1945. Alfred Taylor remained in South Africa after the Boer War. He was appointed to a senior administrative post in the Transvaal. George Witton was released from Lewes prison (England) after serving only 3 years of his sentence. He returned to Australia and wrote a book - "Scapegoats of the Empire". He died in 1943.
