I visited my mom s parents occasionally in Steep Hollow, Mississippi (near Poplarville and close to Brett Favre s hometown of Kiln) where they farmed and hunted off the land. After my education run at Hinds in Raymond, MS (this is where I added the extra e in my nickname Joeey prior to acceptance into Architecture school) and MSU at Starkville, MS. I headed down to the Emerald Coast of Pensacola, Florida for my Architectural internship, salt water fishing and more jeep riding. Then went to Jackson, Mississippi and met my wife (Anna Lynn Beach) were we lived for several years and she bought me an English bulldog named Roo, who was our first child for a while. We vacationed at my mom s vacation house in Laguna Beach, Florida a couple times a year until we decided to move to Santa Rosa Beach to work in Destin Florida (for an Architect who was a Florida Senator) were we conceived our daughter Isabella Grace. Enjoyed surf fishing for Pompano and jeep driving on the beach in Walton County. We enjoyed each weekend walking Destin Commons, Seaside, Rosemary Beach, Watercolor, Alys Beach, Grayton Beach, Etc. After the economy turn, we moved to my wife s hometown of Natchez, Mississippi on a couple of hundred acres in her great grandfather s old house on rolling pasture land. I have been working and driving each day during the week down to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the last 2+ years Page 5
