President s Announcements: President Andrew thanked his board from last year especially retiring board members Andrew McDonald and Catherine Vassiliou retiring board members. President Jeanette also thanked all board members, especially retiring secretary, after 12 years, and current Sale Citizen of the Year, Laurie Smyth. A special presentation was made to Laurie by David Tulloch. President Jeanette, Laurie Smyth and David Tulloch, creator and presenter of the award.

DG Janne Speirs reported on the fire situation in Gippsland and various other avenues in which we might become involved. Philip Davis briefed members on the current state of our drought relief projects to support local farmers. $1000.00 grants from our Club and Shire sponsorship will make this possible. Vouchers for local trading stores look set as does supporting farmers to attend Lardner Farm World with a pitch to encourage women to attend. We will supply busses. DG Janne addresses the meeting. Pres. Andrew listens intently NZ Born Incoming President Raj Mani commenced his address with a moving minutes silence for the people of Christchurch. He congratulated everyone involved in the smooth transition to an amalgamated Club the Rotary Club of Sale Central and the Rotary Club of Sale have come full circle to once again be known as the Rotary Club of Sale. This soft Changeover, mainly to avoid administrative confusion and to create a new and forward looking identity, will be officially sanctioned at our formal Changeover on June 25 th. The recommendations were ratified by the meeting completing the AGM commenced on Saturday November 17 and continuing on December 4 as outlined in the minutes and other documents distributed to all members. As of our last meeting, our current membership stands at 39 with three new prospective members in the pipeline.
DG Elect Adrian Froggatt addressed the meeting briefly urging members to stop talking and start doing. This will be a thrust of his year as DG and he congratulated the Club on the positive initiates shown during the period of amalgamation. He plans for his AGs and others to be visible, accessible and engaged. Raj has attended meetings with Adrian and others and is hopefully inspired. President Raj makes a point while Graham patiently waits to fine him.
