Obtaining highest degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the filed of Area Studies, I taught for 18 years in the University of Peshawar (Pakistan) including part time faculty member in a dozen of other

Universities and academic institutions. While in academia, I took keen interest and worked for right-based and Development Organizations since 1992. In 2003 the Government of NWFP requisitioned my services on deputation initially for three years thereby appointing me Director Social Welfare, Special Education and Women Development NWFP. In October 2006, my deputation period was extended for another two years term. In April 2008, I was repatriated to my parent Department Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar, on my own request. As Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar, I have been performing the same duties as done in Social welfare Department Interpersonal Communication Soft hand on all sorts of communication skills. Have attended several courses inland and abroad to improve written and verbal communication. Speak regularly in class, mass gatherings such as seminars, workshops and group discussions. Act as a facilitator / trainer in tailored trainings for capacity building of Rural Masses. Effective communication with Secretariat, District Offices and outside clients through mail/email is essential part of current position. Weekly, monthly and annual reports compilation is fulfilled on regular basis. The theme was Women Empowerment in Talash after the intervention of NGOs. I was member of the National Facts Finding Mission constituted by the Pakistan NGOs Forum (PNF) which visited Hazara Division in order to probe into the ongoing violence against the NGOs. Worked as Consultant with UNICEF in May 2008 for a study Review of Vagrancy Ordinance 1958 in the light of International Child rights Convention. Worked as provincial Consultant in National Assessment of Scial Welfare Departments by applying total quality control tool CAF(Common Assessment Framework). As Provincial Project Director my main responsibilities were to ensure that all govt. of NWFP inputs committed to the project are available and ensure that project technical staff is empowered to implement the project.
