486 ECHO FINAL B BRIDGE BY THE RIVER FERMOY BRIDGE CLUB PRESIDENT S DINNER 2017 The Fermoy Bridge Club s Annual President s Dinner took place in the Grand Hotel on Friday the 28 th April hosted by President Pat Tiernan. Some 80 people attended both club members and family of the President, the evening comprised of the presentation of Trophies and Cups played for over the year and the awarding of the President s Prizes to the winners. Imelda Cullinan was a first class Master of Ceremonies and the evening passed with great atmosphere and fun. Popular winners of the Presidents Prize were Imelda Cullinan & Mary P O Connor with a gross score of 71.32%, 2 nd Geraldine Mason & Kay Gardiner, 1 st Gross Phil Murphy & Catherine Slattery, 3 rd Paddy Byrne & Matt O Callaghan, 2 nd Gross Carmel Crowley & Helen Lane. 4 th Noelle Carroll & Kieran Jordan, 3 rd Gross Kieran Connolly & Jamie O Mahony, Best Novice Carol O Mahony & Maureen Condon. The Norah Geaney Perpetual Trophy for high handicap players [presented to the Club by the late Paddy Geaney in memory of this wife Norah who played bridge for many years and was the Club s President for 1986/87] was won this year by Kay Gardiner & Geraldine Mason.
