November 2011 ATTN: Human Resources I am interested in bringing my energy and passion for the built environment to to your company. I have a Master of Architecture degree from Northeastern University and 5 years of professional experience since graduation. The focus of my career has primarily been in residential architecture, but the yearn to expand my knowledge within the entire design and construction industry is ever present. My experience in small firms has taught me how to simultaneously work on multiple projects with extreme efficiency. The intimate setting has allowed me to consistently collaborate with clients, contractors and other design professionals on a daily basis to achieve a common goal. In addition to my experience as an architectural designer, I have also spent two years as an adjunct faculty member in the architecture program at Wentworth Institute of Technology, where I taught the fundamentals of design and construction science. Teaching has allowed me build on my organizational and leadership skills. I am confident my interdisciplinary experience and commitment to a high level of quality will be a valuable asset to continuing your devotion to excellence and client satisfaction as you continue to establish your brand. In conjunction to design skills, the ability to communicate verbally and graphically is an asset I hold in high regards. My critical thinking and creative problem solving skills are beneficial to the analytical and pressure-packed nature of the design industry. I would love the opportunity to apply my skill set in a new and exciting capacity. Attached, you will find my resume, references and work samples. Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Kevin Chea
