VILLAREAL FAMILY TREE Version 9 18 March 2018 of Mambusao, Capiz INTRODUCTION: which includes members from other clans such as: Señeris / Señeres Andaya Delgado Navarra Martinez Limbaga etc This is one of the standard print-outs of the Family Tree Maker Genealogical Software. This Introduction and the Index at the end is edited in. The Villareal clan originally were based in Capiz, in the municipality of Mambusao, but have spread out to all over the country. The clan is most prominently known for producing such illustrious sons as Speaker of the House Cornelio Kune Villaereal and his other immediate kin who went into high government service. An early version of the family tree was reportedly painted on the wall of Kune Villareal s house in QC. A more extensive Family Tree in a simplified format hardcopy was given to us a few years ago by cousin Susan Villareal-Sulit. It was reportedly created by another family member Atty Luney Corcino, using the same but earlier version of the FTM software that is producing this printout. We manually encoded all this voluminous data into our Database already containing information of many other Tanjay family trees, merged all the names, and corrected for possible redundancies and errors. A good portion of the data was from kin who had settled in Mindanao, such as Rey Señeres in NJ, who maintains the Villareal de Filipinas website on Facebook. Unique in the database is that all individuals are shown with a birth year. Most are interpolations, based on guideposts of known birth years. These dates are necessary in a large database where new entries are more easily cross checked for duplication with existing data. It must be noted that many of the birth years may be significantly off, since the order of births of siblings may be inaccurate, and/or incomplete. A visit to Manbusao a few years ago renewed old acquaintances among the old folks, and made new ones with the younger set. It also allowed some birth and death year corrections after visiting the ancestor s graves. Since posting on the internet, a number of relatives have come forward to make corrections and update for newer family members such as, among others, Aldrich Federik Villareal, Nestor Peter Abalajon Licanto Jr, Renante Villareal, Eulogio Abalajon II, Nonoy Tupaz, Mary Parreno, William Villareal, Renante Villareal, Elizabeth Fernandez, Karl Villareal. etc. 1

One note of caution is that even among those who send in corrections, there are discrepancies, where one says one thing and another says something else. I usually post the latter. Names with a hash # prefix means that the name will appear again in later generations, in reference to their children. 3. Roman numeral prefix is the order of birth for siblings. 4. Small superscripted numbers indicate generational level of individuals. 5. Parenthesized names after emboldened name are forebears or bloodline of individual. 6. All years shown are estimated birth and/or death years when prefixed by Abt (about). 7. Where full names are unknown, XXX are used, or other descriptive titles.
