Title: SEPP No. 65 Design Quality of Residential Flat Development Abstract: Raises the design quality of residential flat development across the state through the application of a series of design principles. Provides for the establishment of Design Review Panels to provide independent expert advice to councils on the merit of residential flat development. The accompanying regulation requires the involvement of a qualified designer throughout the design, approval and construction stages. Schemes such as these are helping to provide affordable housing in areas undergoing significant redevelopment.
Title: REP No. 28 - Parramatta Abstract: Provides a vision for the future of the Parramatta Primary Centre. The plan covers three key issues: ensuring Parramatta s Cultural and economic growth, protecting historic places and improving the design of the city, and improving public transport. The plan contains statutory controls for development, including zoning, building heights, floor space ratios, sun access and heritage protection. It also covers issues such as demolition, subdivision, foreshore development, outdoor advertising, contaminated land, flood liable land and ways of encouraging public transport use.
