INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE Department of Civil Engineering, in association with Cafet Innova Technical Society (CITS), Hyderabad organized the International Conference on Innovative Trends in Civil Engineering for Sustainability (ICICES-2016) on January 8 th and 9 th 2016. The conference included 8 technical sessions and paper presentations on various fields of Civil Engineering. 42 papers were registered for the conference which was published in International Journal of Earth Sciences and Engineering (IJEE). The conference was inaugurated by Dr. J. Letha, Vice Chancellor, CUSAT and key note address was given by International Guests Dr. Edy Tonnizam Bin Mohamed and Dr. Deepak Tirumishi Jada. Three international delegates had registered for the conference.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING As a step to improve our curriculum, an advisory committee meeting was arranged by the Department on January 18 th 2016. Dr. P.K. Aravindan, Principal consultant, Sreegiri Consultancy, Former professor at IIT Madras chaired the session. Er. P. Vijaya Devi, Assistant Executive Engineer, Pollution Control Board co-chaired the session. Our Management team, Principal, Dean Academics, Vice Principal, HOD and all faculty were also a part of the meeting. CLASS COMMITTEE MEETING Class committee meetings of 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 batch students were conducted. Head of the Department, Class-in-charges and student representatives took part in the discussion. Many
