THE REALTOR PARTY In 2009 and now more than ever, it will be a priority to support officeholders and candidates who understand and support real estate and homeownership. It is important to remain competitive in the election arena because over 35% of all proposed legislation introduced in Sacramento each year impacts REALTORS. There is no way to know for certain what challenges lie ahead, but one thing is clear, we must remian vigilant against potential threats to our industry. While these dangers are limitless, our financial resources are not! Any contribution to the REALTOR Action Fund (RAF) is appreciated. You can also help by getting involved in either our RAF Committee or Local Government Relations Committee. MARKETING MEETINGS PCAR hosts three Marketing Meetings, South Placer, Lincoln, and Auburn. These venues give you endless opportunities to network, learn valuable information, and pitch listings. South Placer Marketing Meetings are held every Tuesday in the PCAR Confrence Center from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Lincoln Marketing Meetings are held every first & third Wednesday of the month at the Heritage Theatre, 561 G Street in Lincoln from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Auburn Marketing Meetings are held every Thursday at 3770 Richardson Drive in Auburn from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. EDUCATION Complete your BRE continuing education online! Legal Hotline: 213-739-8282 ARBITRATION/MEDIATION Even though it's not in the plans, there are times when you may have to face Mediation/ Arbitration with a client or fellow REALTOR. For the public, the Association has an effective Dispute Resolution Program where trained and certified members serve as Mediators for real estate disputes. A welcome alternative to costly litigation. For REALTOR to REALTOR disputes, Arbitration is available using members of the Professional Standards Committee as your hearing panel. OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM: An Ombudsman offers aid to someone compalining about a potential ethics violation in an effort to resolve the problem prior to filing a formal complaint. Also available are Disciplinary Proceedings handling violations of the Code of Ethics. INSURANCE Medical, E & O, Disability, Life Insurance and more through our local insurance Broker or through C.A.R. & N.A.R. Programs. You must enroll within 30 days of joining the Association or wait for the annual open enrollment period.

COMMITTEE INVOLVEMENT When you volunteer for one of PCAR s committees, you serve not only your Association but yourself as well! Research shows that members who work on association committees are better informed, better networked, better prepared to act on trends and regulations impacting their business. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP 1. Bylaws, policies and rules. I agree to abide by the bylaws, policies and rules of the Association, the bylaws, policies and rules of the California Association of Realtors, and the constitution, bylaws, policies and rules of the National Association of REALTORS, all as may from time to time be amended. 2. Use of the term REALTOR. I understand that the professional designation REALTOR is a federally registered trademark of the National Association of REALTORS ( N.A.R. ) and use of this designation is subject to N.A.R. rules and regulation. I agree that I cannot use these professional designations until this application is approved, all my membership requirements are completed, and I am notified of membership approval in one of these designations. I further agree that should I cease to be a REALTOR, I will discontinue use of the term REALTOR in all certificates, signs, seals or any other medium. 3. Orientation. I understand that if the Association requires orientation, I must attend such orientation prior to becoming a member of the Association. 4. No refund. I understand that my Association membership dues are non-refundable.
