Legal Hotline: 213-739-8282 ARBITRATION/MEDIATION Even though it's not in the plans, there are times when you may have to face Mediation/ Arbitration with a client or fellow REALTOR. For the public, the Association has an effective Dispute Resolution Program where trained and certified members serve as Mediators for real estate disputes. A welcome alternative to costly litigation. For REALTOR to REALTOR disputes, Arbitration is available using members of the Professional Standards Committee as your hearing panel. OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM: An Ombudsman offers aid to someone compalining about a potential ethics violation in an effort to resolve the problem prior to filing a formal complaint. Also available are Disciplinary Proceedings handling violations of the Code of Ethics. INSURANCE Medical, E & O, Disability, Life Insurance and more through our local insurance Broker or through C.A.R. & N.A.R. Programs. You must enroll within 30 days of joining the Association or wait for the annual open enrollment period.
