Welcome to Maja Sunset If this is the first time on the island of St Lucia welcome, if this is a return visit you will understand why people return to this wonderful island. We had been coming to the island for a number of years for the St Lucia Jazz festival which takes place every May and in 2006 we found this ½ acre plot of land on the doorstep of our favourite hotel resort Windjammer Landing. We undertook the building of Maja Sunset to create another home for us. For us the people of St Lucia make the island, very friendly and laid back, the island still maintains a Caribbean feel to it and is not too commercialized. The island landscape offers a combination of rainforest and wonderful beaches, providing a variety of activities such as water sports, walking, good beaches, golf and good restaurants. Maja Sunset Villa itself is an international development with local labour, a British project manager and materials and furniture sourced from many countries worldwide. For example the main floor tiles are from Italy, while the bathroom sinks and dado tiles come from England. The pool border tiles are special glass tiles from Monterrey California and the furniture is mainly sourced from Florida, USA. This is our home and we welcome you to enjoy the facilities provided and the many activities the island has to offer.
