1 There's no place like home the only place where we can truly be ourselves. Our interiors reflect our personality: every object has its own story and is an expression of our individual identity. At Vitra, we believe in the principle of collage the idea that a vibrant living space is not achieved by conforming to a unified plan, but rather gains character through a mix of old and new, classic and contemporary, favourite mementos and found objects. The Vitra Accessories Collection embodies this conviction. It ranges from timeless creations by Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard or George Nelson to the newest products by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Hella Jongerius or Stockholm based design studio Front. Eames Radio Eames Radio In collaboration with the Eames Office, Vitra is reviving the design of a compact radio more than 70 years after it was fi rst developed. Though a favourite of Charles and Ray at the time, the radio never went into production. Encased in an elegant walnut cabinet and equipped with up-to-date technology by the British manufacturer REVO, the Eames Radio today bears witness to the designer couple s unwavering belief in progress. The Eames Radio is available in a limited edition of 999 units. Charles & Ray Eames Product available at selected dealers. Charles & Ray Eames

Designer Resting Animals Front Charles and Ray Eames are counted among the most important fi gures of twentieth-century design. Their work spans the fi elds of furniture design, fi lmmaking, photography and exhibition design. The infl uence of Charles and Ray Eames was fundamental to the development of Vitra. Its activity as a furniture manufacturer began in 1957 with the production of their designs. Yet it was not only the products of Charles and Ray Eames that left their mark on Vitra. With their approach to and understanding of design, they made an ongoing contribution to the values and goals of the company. Charles & Ray Eames Front

Resting Animals Resting Animals Numerous works by the design duo Front are devoted to the systematic observation of sleeping or hibernating animals. This interest is now expressed in a group of slumbering creatures Resting Animals whose poses exude a serene tranquillity. The largest is a knit-covered bear that can be used as a stool, ottoman or backrest, for example. The smaller designs are decorative ceramic fi gures depicting a cat and two birds in different sizes. Resting Animals not only bring a touch of nature into the home; their peaceful presence goes beyond the visual to communicate a deep sense of contentment. Front Front

Designer 31* 21 32 Sofi a Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren both from Sweden founded the Stockholm-based design studio Front in 2004.
