MUNEWSLETTER 02 THHS MUN Intermediate Invitational Trabuco Hills High School hosted the first ever Intermediate Invitational conference for 7th and 8th graders interested in MUN. Ten SMCHS MUN students served as delegate mentors for the event showing the younger delegates how to conduct themselves at an MUN conference.

03 MUNEWSLETTER AWARDS MUN Awards Dinner This year our program won over 575 individual awards, including 84 Gavels, and 7 delegation awards at Edison, Tustin, Mission Viejo, Surf City, WCIMUN, UCIMUN, and most impressively at Duke. We spent countless hours deciding on awards to make sure we recognized everyone who deserves them. In preparation for this evening we spent over $17,000 dollars on scholarships for graduating Seniors, $600 dollars on awards, produced 4 plaques, 5 Grecian trophy things, a script that is 11 pages long, 26 thank you cards, 8 gavels, and 167 award certificates. The process of applying for various jobs and honors within the MUN program spanned over two months. As you may be able to imagine, keeping track of 220 students and all of their different jobs and accomplishments is a daunting task. I say all of this because inevitably someone gets left out during the course of this evening. I would like to apologize ahead of time and ask for your continued patience if this should happen to you. During the year I don t do enough to let the MUN students know how proud I am of them and what they have accomplished during the year. Consider this evening as a huge thank you to all the parents and students that make this program so successful. Thank you, Mr. John Remmell

09 MUNEWSLETTER ACADEMIC Academic Awards Each year MUN gives academic awards for each subject grade level. These awards are given based on academic accomplishment in the classroom and are given to the student who is at the top of their grade level in each subject. The award winner is not necessarily the student with the highest percentage grade in the class as other factors such as enthusiasm for the subject; class participation, etc. are taken into consideration. These awards will be presented by the school too but we made another for these people tonight.
