Scientific partner Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST

Introduction Following the first twelve successful ICCG meetings, the 13 th ICCG conference will be organized in Braunschweig, Germany, again. The focus of the conference is to bring together scientists, technologists, practitioners and managers from universities, research institutes, coating manufacturers, material and equipment suppliers, and user industries to discuss the latest developments in the fields of large-area glass and plastic coatings. Conference Topics The application of coatings is an area which has become extremely important for large-area or high-volume products. Besides glass, plastics are becoming more and more important as substrates for optical and electronic applications. For this reason the conference focuses on the development and application of advanced coatings on both glass and plastics, using a broad and multidisciplinary approach. Topics will include all steps and techniques necessary to realize a final coated product. New markets and trends are another focus of the conference. Finally, the 13 th ICCG provides information on the different technologies at a general level for new product designers, as well as technical aspects, safety measures, and environmental and economic factors. Short Courses On Monday morning prior to the conference, a range of educational lectures will be given by experts in the field of thin films. The short courses are intended to provide fundamental and technological background knowledge on specific conference topics. Chairman: Dr. V.
