Creative heritage Marcel Rodd of Art & Sound Ltd acquires the site and Saga records Ltd. He makes classical music affordable to ordinary people, cutting and pressing records from the Old Gramophone Works using recycled vinyl. 1960 Caution by Bob Marley & The Wailers is released on Trojan Records. 1973 1919 Sanderson & Sons (wallpaper and paint manufacturers) takes over the site on which the Gramophone Works now sits. 1966 First Notting Hill Carnival takes place celebrating Carribean culture and dispelling racial tension from the 1950s. 1975 Saga acquires B&C and Trojan Records.
