Heritage Incentives Sub-Committee (Designated Heritage Property Incentive Grant Program [non-commercial], Heritage Property Tax Rebate Program) Mr. David Moote, Sub-Committee Chair, advised that two applications are pending for funding under the Designated Heritage Property Incentive Grant program (non-commercial), and that the applications will likely be brought forward for the consideration at the May Board meeting. F 3. Heritage Resources Sub-Committee (Designations, Cultural Landscapes, Heritage Inventory, Development Applications) F 3-1. Heritage Resources Sub-Committee April 6, 2010 (File G33). Ms. Lynda Voegtle, Sub-Committee Chair, highlighted the reference in the minutes to the tour of Camp Naivelt which is scheduled to take place on May 1, 2010, with May 29 th as the rain date. Board discussion took place with respect to Item 6 in the subject minutes relating to the request for de-listing from the owners of a number of downtown properties. The following motion was considered. HB044-2010 That the of the Heritage Resources Sub-Committee Meeting of April 6, 2010 (File G33), to the Brampton Heritage Board Meeting of April 20, 2010, be received. Carried F 4. Mr. Michael Avis, Sub-Committee Chair, provided details on the Peel District School Board s upcoming Historica event, advised that he has been asked to be an adjudicator for the event, and confirmed that the displays for the Board, the Brampton Historical Society, and Historic Bovaird House would be set up at the event. The following motion was considered. HB045-2010 That the of the Outreach and Marketing Sub- Committee Meeting of March 31, 2010 (File G33), to the Meeting of April 20, 2010, be received. Carried F 5. Awards Sub-Committee Mr. David Moote, Sub-Committee Chair, confirmed that the applications for the Board s two nominations under the Ontario Heritage Trust Heritage Community Recognition Program are being processed. Work Plan Sub-Committee Mr. David Moote, Sub-Committee Chair, confirmed that a meeting of the sub-committee is to be held in early to mid-may 2010 to establish a protocol for the acquisition of furnishings and fixtures for Alderlea. Ms. Antonietta Minichillo, Heritage Coordinator, Planning, Design and Development, provided the following information: Details on the fire investigation by Peel Regional Police and Brampton Fire and Emergency Services Brampton Fire and Emergency Services has advised that the walls cannot be salvaged The building will be documented before the walls are collapsed A request has been put forward to Brampton Fire and Emergency Services for salvaging of all possible heritage elements Notice of intention to designate the subject property has been issued, and will be amended to reflect the loss of the building Consideration will be given to designation of the property as a cultural heritage landscape 2010 04 20 Page 8 of 12

H. Churchville Heritage Conservation District H 1. Churchville Heritage Committee April 12, 2010 (File G33CH). The subject minutes were distributed at the meeting. Ms. Antonietta Minichillo, Heritage Coordinator, Planning, Design and Development, provided an overview of the subject minutes, highlighting the recommendation with respect to the Baldesarra Subdivision, and circulated plans for the Subdivision. 2010 04 20 Page 9 of 12
Board consideration of this matter included revisions made to the plans for the Baldesarra Subdivision resulting in designs that are within the District Guidelines. The following motion was considered. HB046-2010 1. That the of the Churchville Heritage Committee Meeting of April 12, 2010 (File G33CH), to the Brampton Heritage Board Meeting of April 20, 2010, be received; and, 2. That the following recommendation outlined in the subject minutes be endorsed: That the heritage permit application for the Baldesarra Subdivision for the three individual lots presented by Mr. Max Kisner of Jardin Designs at the Churchville Heritage Committee Meeting of April 12, 2010 be approved, on the condition that revised drawings be resubmitted electronically to the Committee reflecting the changes agreed to at the meeting; and, That heritage permits be issued for the following lands: Lot 17: based on the plans circulated to the Committee electronically. Ms. Antonietta Minichillo, Heritage Coordinator, Planning, Design and Development, provided details on the demolition of the building addition, and a ceremony with the previous owners, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 15, which included a presentation of the date stone to the Legion. J 2. Status of the Investigation into the Demolition of the Heritage Building on the Gummed Papers Factory Site 12 Henderson Avenue Ward 4 J 3. Options for the Re-use of the former CP Railway Station Board consideration of this matter included: An indication that Mattamy Homes has included information in their sales office and on their video with respect to re-use of the former CP Station within their Mount Pleasant development Discussion regarding station materials that were not removed from the former storage space K. O. Public Question Period O 1. Mr. Mark Anto, Humber College Journalism Student, referenced discussions under Item G 1-9 and asked about the plans for the property once the home has been demolished. Ms. Antonietta Minichillo, Heritage Coordinator, responded that the property could be designated as a cultural heritage landscape, and that any salvaged materials could be worked into the site to commemorate its heritage. O 2. Mr. Bob Fitzgerald, 82 Cobblestone Court, Brampton, inquired about heritage incentive programs (Item F 2), and asked if the City has any programs that would provide for relocation of trees to occupied heritage properties. In response, it was suggested that Mr. Fitzgerald contact the City s Parks Division. As well, he was advised about the City s Designated Heritage Property Incentive Grant Program [non-commercial] (Item F 2). P.
