I would like to thank John for all of his hard work. He has done a fantastic job with the association and getting everything in line for the meetings and dealing with the financials. Please help me in thanking John for his time and effort he put into this position. Moving forward we have found a replacement for that position. The candidate we choose to move forward with is Carol Cloud. The last name may sound familiar to some of you and that is because she is the wife of Brian Cloud. Brian is our field representative for National GCSAA. Carol comes to us with a wide range of experience. She is a retired school teacher from Fort Worth area and is the Executive Director for the North Texas chapter as well as the Texas Sports Turf Association. She does live in Fort Worth, but will be traveling to attend our meetings here in the Rio Grande area. There is some more changes going on within the association and that is the departure of Robert Gonzales. Robert has stepped down as Vice President of the association due to a job change and moving out of the area. Robert has taken the over the sales job with Golf Enviro Systems and will be moving to Colorado Springs. We will still see Robert as a vendor at the golf courses as well as our meetings for the Rio Grande. These changes to the board will mean that Matt Urban is out new Vice President and we welcome Paul Kerr from UNM South as our new Director to the board.
