George Alexander Rawlyk: A Bibliography, 1962-1996 Compiled by P.L. Coops and DJ. Hessler The following bibliography lists the published items authored, co-authored, edited, or co-edited by Dr. Rawlyk in the form of books, journal articles, chapters in books, entries in biographic or encyclopedic compilations, and reviews. The compilers have attempted to list all such items, but have failed, no doubt, to locate some publications. Dr. Rawlyk's varied academic and personal interests over the course of his life resulted in the production of numerous written articles in a variety of fields, including Maritime history, Canadian-American studies, politics, and North American religious history. A large sampling of these items, in partial or draft form, covering the period from the early 1960s to the mid-1990s, are in the possession of the archives at Queen's University. Some materials have been catalogued and the remaining material is currently being appraised. As of 1988, Dr. Rawlyk's material comprised approximately eight shelf meters in the archives. Archivist Paul Banfield has advised that a finding aid to all of Dr. Rawlyk's material at the archives will be completed by the end of 1996. For those who are interested, the material promises to be a treasure trove of items on the illustrious career of Dr. Rawlyk. Access to the material is restricted, but permission to view certain items may be obtained. Included in the archives are items such as drafts of books, articles and reviews, correspondence with Canadian and American scholars, lecture notes, research materials and addresses. From among this material the compilers have included, as an addendum, several undated typescripts of book reviews (arranged by year of publication), which they have been unable to locate in published form (though some or all may have been published). 1962 "Canada's Immigration Policy, 1945-1962."
