We have had our share of successes members who have represented our club in tournaments and had good results, our three Interclub teams, and the club members who represented Kapi-Mana in the Kerr Cup and Jackway Shield. I would especially like to congratulate our Interclub teams Yvonne Helps s team was 3 rd and Margaret Francis s team 4 th in the Open Restricted grade, and Jann Dyer s team was 4 th in the Novice Junior grade. I would like to encourage all our club members to represent our club by playing in tournaments, interclub and the Kerr cup and Jackway Shield in 2016. (We need to win the Shield back off Paraparaumu in 2016!) We held the Christmas Party and Prizegiving on the 4 th December. Not so many members attended this year, but a great time was had by all. I would like to thank Phil Clark for the donation of the delicious ham we enjoyed with our meal. Congratulations to everyone who received prize certificates and trophies. Congratulations also to Lyn Underhill for winning two of the Goody boxes in the raffle. To everyone that has contributed to the life of the club, in whatever way, whether it be serving on the Committee, being a partnership steward, directing, organising tournaments and participating in tournaments, or doing the many behind the scenes jobs including dealing bridge boards, scoring, tidying up the room after play & purchasing supper supplies I would like to say a big THANK-YOU. Have a merry Christmas and happy and healthy 2016. Enjoy the holiday and I look forward to seeing you all back, refreshed and ready for another great year of bridge in 2016. Margaret.
