The Fredericksburg Rockhounds was organized on July 15, 1968, with 65 members. Charter members instrumental in founding the club included Clarence Allen, Anita and Bodo Burrow, Mathilda and Troy Foster, Shorty Hohn, Ed Immel, Irma and Rudy Lentz, Crockett Riley, Agnes Sagebiel and Edith Sagebiel. The CONSTITUTION was adopted by the Executive Council on October 22, 1968, and the general membership on March 3, 1969. The CONSTITUTION included the following: ARTICLE IV OFFICERS Section 1 The elective officers of the Society shall be: a.. b. Vice- (First). c. Vice- (Second). d.. e.. f. Director. The BYLAWS included the following: ARTICLE II NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS Section 1 At the August meeting the shall appoint two (2) members to serve with the Chairman of the Nominating Committee (Second Vice ). This committee shall report at the September meeting. The new officers will be elected at the October meeting and installed at the November meeting.
