Legacy Board Honoree Dick Hunsaker Dick joined HomeAid Orange County s Board of Directors in 2002. Through his dedication to HomeAid s mission, he served as Vice President of the executive committee from 2005-2006 and as President for the following two years. Dick s involvement with HomeAid goes back to the initial pilot project, the Irvine Farmhouses, and he provided civil engineering expertise to numerous developments since 1989.
Legacy Board Honoree Jay Blakslee Jay was a founding member of HomeAid Orange County, joining the board at its inception in 1989. He served as Treasurer of the executive committee 1997-2004 and later served as President for a two year term from 2008-2010. Jay was the project liaison for Huntington Youth Shelter and contributed to the success of the Habitat for Humanity development.
Legacy Board Honoree Les Thomas Les first became involved with HomeAid as a builder captain for Friendship Shelter. After serving as the captain for the construction of Human Options safe house for abused women, he joined the Board of Directors in 1998. Not long after, he became the President of the executive committee in 2003 and led the development of Interval House.
Legacy Board Honoree Mike Lennon Mike was the founding executive director of HomeAid Orange County. During his time in this position from 1989-1998, he led the development of 28 shelter projects throughout the Orange County region. Then with the founding of HomeAid America, he served as the founding Chief Executive Officer from 1998-2006. Mike continues to support HomeAid to this day through his personal time and facilitating significant grants for chapters.
