Exciting Auction Class Changes The IRMLS board of directors approved the following recommendation to the Auction Class at their April 5 th meeting. History of Auctions in the MLS: IRMLS originally placed Auction listings in each respective Class but NAR flagged the rules and asked IRMLS to segregate the Action Listings/ 0 List Price properties. In response, IRMLS created an AUCTION Class and moved all Auction listings to the Auction Class. At that time, the policy was changed to require users to enter all residential Auction Listings into the Auction Class. Boards and Members began to ask IRMLS to change the Auction policy and allow Auction listings back in the Residential Class so Auction Listings would display as part of a Residential search. IRMLS investigated the request with NAR, Black Knight and the following changes were approved. The following changes went into effect on Wednesday, April 25th. Auction Guidelines and Changes: 1. Agents may enter Auction Listings in all classes, including Residential. 2. Auction = 0 or Auction s with a price may be entered into each respective class. 3. Auctions entered in any class must change the Auction flag to YES. Once the flag has been changed to Yes, a separate container with auction related fields will open. The Auction Reserve Price and the Auction Comments will not be required. An additional field for Price Range will be added and will not be required. 4. Setting the Auction flag to Yes will no longer change the price to 0. 5. Marketing remarks must contain information relevant to the consumer regarding the auction instructions, date, time, etc. 6. Agents will no longer be able to enter new listings in the Auction class. Agents will be able to maintain existing listings in the auction class. 7. An Auction report will be created to display as the IRMLS default report for Auction listings. 8. Auction Yes/No field will be added to MLS Search and MLS search display report to help agents Identify Auction listings when setting up saved searches and auto notifications.
Additional Changes (first week of June) 1. Existing auction data will be mapped to the Residential Class (Active, Sold, Pending, Withdrawn). Agents may reenter their current auction listings in Residential prior to this change, however MLS will need to be contacted at the Board to remove the other listing. 2. Saved searches will be converted. 3. Auction class will be removed from Paragon. RPAC Event Another successful RPAC luncheon and auction! Record attendance, lots of great auction items, socializing, networking, and a delicious meal at The Woods Too! $5578 was raised for RPAC! Many thanks to our sponsors for the event: Todd Miller with Beacon Credit Union, Monica Severe with Farmers State Bank, Jas Singh with Horizon Bank, and Cyndi Andrew with Ruoff Mortgage! Many thanks also to all those who attended as well as those who contributed (and purchased) auction items! The event would not be possible without the support of our members and our affiliates. Last but far from least, a huge thank you to Dawn Miller and the RPAC committee: Cyndi Andrew, Shala Cook-Hoover, Kelly Grimes, Kay Kunce, and Ashley Skinner!
