Consideration of authorizing a contract in the amount of $27,568.95 with Lerro Corporation to upgrade the cameras, controller and switcher for the Broadcast System. The cameras, controller and switcher are original to the system and have been in service since the first Board of Supervisors Public Meeting went out over the air. The switcher and controller are literally worn out and do not always respond as expected while the meetings are on the air. The cameras are outdated and can only transmit in an analog, standard definition (SD) format. The proposed system will be able to transmit a clear, sharp digital signal in high definition. The switcher and controller will record and stream high definition broadcast to our website and will be able to down-convert the signal for broadcast on our current standard definition cable channel provided by Comcast and Verizon. Lerro Corporation, a Pennsylvania COSTARS vendor located in Norristown, PA has provided a quote in the amount of $27,568.95 for this project. The quote was prepared and negotiated using competitive contract pricing through the COSTARS cooperative purchasing program. The Township has engaged Lerro on several audio and video projects in the past. Their quality of work and support after the sale has been outstanding. Ms. Berkis stated that funding for this project has been budgeted in the 2019 Capital Budget. ACTION: MR.
