Talani M. Casariego Talani has been active in the Atlanta commercial real estate industry for about 16 years. Upon Graduation from Kennesaw State University (Cum Laude, BA History), she began her career at Childers Associates, an appraisal firm specializing in condemnation appraisals for various entities. She has worked with state, federal and local governments to acquire right of way, park space, school sites, environmentally sensitive areas, and many other types of commercial property. Some of the more interesting assignments were an air plane hangar at Peachtree DeKalb Airport for a lease renewal, golf courses, assisted living facilities and affordable housing projects for the Department of Community Affairs (GADCA). Since moving to Georgia in 1994, she has lived in Jasper, Marietta Square, Smyrna, Pine Lake (Dekalb County) and now Decatur. In her first year she helped to broker deals totaling over $1 Million almost all of which were bank owed, undeveloped land tracts. Since then she has gone on to represent both local and institutional investors in the purchase or disposition of income producing property. Talani prefers to work where she lives; Her focus is on land for redevelopment or small business opportunities inside Atlanta s Perimeter Highway. She has served on the City of Pine Lake Downtown Development Authority Board, the Pine Lake Architectural Review Board and as a YMCA youth soccer coach. She has also attended the Appraisal Institute s Leadership Development and Advisory Council in Washington DC and served as the Associate Membership Chairperson for the Appraisal Institute.
