CONSTRUCTION La Ferme des Dents du Midi is located in a traditional chalet built in 1902. The forthcoming renovations will provide the building with modernity and comfort, while preserving its original charm and character. The façades of the chalet will be left in their original state. The principal façade is oriented towards the village, while the south-east side where the living rooms will be situated offers a view over Les Dentsdu-Midi. The north-east facing bedrooms will remain spacious and retain their lovely crossed beams. The supporting structure of the roof will be entirely encased in wood and filled with insulating wood fibre. The eaves will feature the traditional exposed rafters, and a double thickness will be evident at the ridge boards and roof gutter. The windows to be installed on the south-west side will be concealed behind openwork weatherboarding. On the lower ground floor, the original cellar area will be renovated to maintain its authentic appearance and the excavated underpinnings of the outside walls will be strengthened with reinforced concrete. The main entrance to the building will be located here, giving access to the covered car park, the staircase leading to the upper floors, the heat pump and heating equipment rooms, cellars, ski storage areas and the laundry room. The upper floors will be entirely rebuilt in wood with thick planks in the interior. The balconies and other traditional features will be renovated and the balustrades rebuilt according to current standards using salvaged elements. The fountain basin will be renovated and will remain in its original position, as will the 1902 soapstone oven. REMARKS A covered parking space and an outdoor parking space are included in the sales price.
