PRESPAJANjE / REWIRING 20th SALON AND DAYS OF ARCHITECTURE IN NOVI SAD 03-12.06.2016 RAILWAY STATION NOVI SAD CONTENTS: AWARDS AND HONORS OPENING OF THE SALON LECTURES AND DISCUSSIONS General description: The 20th Salon of Architecture in Novi Sad, accompanied by Days of Architecture, is striving to provide a space for free and open-minded discussions on the position of architecture in the regional context, in order to overcom the barriers we have between ourselves. Therefore the selectio is extended to all the countries in the region, whose production we would like to compare at this manifestation. Apart from the exhibition at the Salon, we want to present the state of the architecture as a profession to the public, through a selection of lectures, presentations and panel discussions, which exactly is the goal of the accompaning manifestation Days of Architecture. Here we wish to present architecture in a broad perspective of its actions, from social and spatial activism, building processes, theoretical research to design of digital spaces. By aligning these fields side by side, we wish to point to their common significance in architecture as a complex discipline it is today. Both the Salon exhibition and accompaning lectures are held at the Railway station in Novi Sad, as the meeting point of the regional and professional rewiring. By opening up its long-forgotten public spaces, we wish to start a discussion on the future of this and many other significant but neglected buildings.

OPENING OF THE SALON PRESPAJANJE / REWIRING
On Friday 3 rd of June 2016, on the terrace of the former restaurant at the railway station, manifestations 20 th Salon of architecture and the Days of Architecture were opened. Jury members, lecturers, architects exhibiting their works, guests and general visitors all attended the opening and thus had the opportunity to witness, for the first time, spaces at the railway station being used as galleries. The exhibition of the Salon of Architecture was exhibited in the space of former restaurant and express restaurant, while the railway s own, regular exhibition section of railway photography, enhanced for this opportunity was placed in the waiting lounges. Manifestations Salon of Architecture and Days of Architecture are mostly held at the same time, so that the current issues in the practice could be discussed within professional circles but also presented to the public through a series of lectures, presentations and panel discussions.
