Resident and Guest Parking University Apartments Residents Contract holders must request a University Apartments parking placard for any vehicles they or their registered guests park at University Apartments. The parking placard should be hung from the rear view mirror or placed on the dash of the vehicle where the number is easily seen. Parking placards cannot be used for vehicles other than the one that they are registered to and are subject to towing if misused. Vehicles with parking placards are not permitted to park in guest parking and are subject to towing. Vehicles must be parked within the approved parking space lines and cannot block dumpsters, fire lines, other cars or other parking spaces. Visitors Cars parked in resident spaces without a valid placard visible are subject to towing at any time. Guest parking is marked on signs in front of approved guest parking spaces. Pay attention to directional arrows on signs which indicate if multiple spaces are approved for guest parking. Guests must park in guest parking spaces to avoid being towed. Please communicate the location of guest parking to any non-residents that are visiting you. If a vehicle at University Apartments is not parking within the above guidelines or if you need to claim a vehicle that has been towed, please contact J & J Towing at: (512) 462-2244 JJTowing.com

TAB Bio: Andreana Dear University Apartments residents: oi, tudo bem? My name is Andreana Marchi and I will join the Tenant Advisory Board (TAB) this June. I am from Brazil but have lived in different parts of the USA in the last years. Before coming to Austin to pursue my PhD in Iberian and Latin American Linguistics, I worked as a Teaching Assistant and Coordinator of the Portuguese House at Middlebury College, Vermont. As a house coordinator, I organized weekly events directed to the students of the College as well as the members community that were interested in learning more about the Portuguese speaking world. The interest in culture and languages led me to UT Austin in 2016 where I am now studying pragmatics and second language acquisition and teach Portuguese in our Department s language program. Outside of academics, I enjoy spending time riding my bike on different trails here in Austin, cooking different meals, and exchanging ideas with my friends. I also like meeting new people and learning more about their world and perspectives on life. As a TAB member I will make sure that residents have all the assistance they need. I will talk with the residents to listen to their recommendations and concerns and communicate with University Apartments staff and to advocate for our community. I will also be happy to work together with TAB to manage the community garden since I own a small garden on the balcony of my Gateway apartment. Overall, I want to make the University Apartments residents feel they belong in this community. A gente se vê, Andreana.
