Page 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Monday 21.08.17 Unfortunately, Chris from Rotaract has had to cancel for this evening. We look forward to hearing from him on another evening. Daniel and Richard are to be inducted. FellowshipTony Goode Monday 28.08.17 OBF Planning Night Last Monday 14.08.17 Get well wishes to both Marie Beck and Les Harch. Peter Panich really did not need to introduce Stefan Jost to us, as Stefan is well known to us in his role as a teacher at Lorien Novalis; he has brought students with him on previous occasions to talk to us about the work that they have done in Vanuatu and Fiji. On this occasion Stefan told us about the work a group of Year 10 students had done in building a kindergarten on Pele Island in Vanuatu, from the remains of a church, following extensive damage on the island following a cyclone. He emphasised to us that while the work that the students did was of great benefit to the islanders, it was also an important tool in character building for the students themselves. Kay Leonard, having been part of teams that have done similar work on behalf of Rotary was well placed to thank Stefan for his attendance. We were also happy to send him away with a cheque to help in future projects.
